The Content Systems at Amazon is for talented Software Development Engineers with a passion for innovative technologies to deliver actionable insights throughout the lifecycle of content marketing, ensuring shoppers to see engaging content across Amazon’s online shopping experiences. We builds scalable platforms that leverage native -AI and AI-powered solutions to optimize the quality of every piece of content and to maximize the efficiency of content marketing across Amazon’s experiences and channels. As a Software Development Engineer, you will get to collaborate with senior engineers and applied scientists across a large cross-section of the technical stacks. This role provides you with autonomy and ownership of decisions, working backwards directly from customers. There is ample of opportunity for growth due to the high visibility work, and presence of senior tech leaders for guidance and mentorship. You have the opportunity build on top of native AWS services and leverage Gen-AI, machine learning, and agentic flows to enhance the content creation and distribution process. Key job responsibilities • Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market. • Design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment and help lead fundamental changes in the industry. • Learn the cutting-edge technologies and productize them to benefit millions of Amazon customers. • Build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage/use. • Design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems. • Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software. • You raise the bar on operational excellence. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems - Bachelor's degree or equivalent
