Job Description



As the Senior Facility Project Manager, reporting to CMI Executive HQ, you will provide management and direction successfully taking responsibility for the overall project performance including costs, schedule, quality, project status and clients’ satisfaction for CMI's customer site in Washington, DC. The Sr. FMP will oversee the Assistant PM, O&M Manager, Ancillary PM, Custodial Manager and QC/Safety Manager while maintaining relationships with subcontractors and vendors. The Sr. FPM is responsible for ensuring that the project is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with the contract requirements, company policies and procedures, and legislation and labor requirements. The Sr. FPM may also lead and/or participate in, hiring other project team members.

Your work will include:

  • Overseeing the overall facility maintenance and management of the customer site ensuring that building systems are repaired and serviced in a timely manner
  • Ensuring that all contract services are carried out based on contract requirements: QC/Safety, Custodial, Capital Improvement Projects, Operations & Maintenance
  • Understanding and enforcing contractual responsibilities, contract documents and resolving disputes
  • Identifying project risks, problems and issues as early as possible; ensuring mitigating actions are in place to minimize impact
  • Ensuring compliance of all applicable Quality Control/Quality Assurance requirements and building codes
  • Overseeing budgets, analyzing, change orders, other invoices associated with the facilities management of the customer site
  • Hiring, managing, mentoring and coaching project team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or preferably Master’s degree in project management, construction management, architecture, engineering, or in any related disciplines
  • A minimum of 7 years’ project management experience managing a facility at least 800 sq ft
  • Must possess an active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. A copy will be requested
  • Ability to pass a government agency background check
  • Proven experience managing medium to large projects
  • Contract law knowledge and contract management experience
  • Computer proficiency – Microsoft Office- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Scheduling Software: MS Project and/or Primavera
