Public Relations and Events Coordinator Location Seattle, WA (West Woodland area) : Job Summary Chihuly Studio is seeking a Public Relations & Events Coordinator to join our team. Chihuly Studio is the family-owned business of world-renowned artist Dale Chihuly, where the Chihuly team is committed to a collaborative and passionate culture supporting the work, creative design, and excellent client service of our inspirational and distinguished artist, Dale Chihuly. The Public Relations & Events Coordinator reports to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing and is primarily responsible for serving as the internal point of contact with the Studio's public relations firm to manage daily communication and provide ongoing administrative support to the PR firm. This role also collaborates with internal teams to create and manage engaging and meaningful Studio events designed to deliver an exceptional experience for collectors, museum officials, foundations and other distinguished guests visiting the Studio and the Boathouse. Responsibilities Partner with the Studio's Design & Brand Manager and the Vice President of Sales and Marketing to implement PR initiatives and activations that align with Studio communications and business objectives. Serve as the primary internal point of contact with the Studio's public relations firm, to manage daily communication and provide ongoing administrative support to the firm, including coordinating requests and scheduling, providing material, background and performing other associated tasks. Serve as the point of contact for the press and marketing departments of museum and exhibition partners, as well as partners in higher education. Provide needed materials and support, directing inquiries to the appropriate senior staff member when needed. Research and develop content on behalf of the executive team, including but not limited to ghostwriting byline articles, speeches, presentation decks, and staff communications pieces. Collaborate with Studio staff to create and manage engaging and compelling Studio opportunities to deliver exceptional experiences for collectors, museum officials, foundations and other distinguished guests visiting the Studio, the Boathouse or other offsite activations. Work with the Vice President of Sales and Marketing to oversee and maintain the customer relationship management (CRM) database, ensuring seamless coordination and communication between the Exhibitions and the Sales teams with distinct audience groups. Work closely with the Vice President of Sales and Marketing to support the Studio's giving and donation program, manage related awards, and ensure alignment with Studio and Foundation goals. Provide ongoing administrative support for the Sales, Marketing and Exhibitions teams. Work with digital, broadcast and print media along with a variety of internal and external stakeholder groups to ensure consistent Studio messaging across platforms and partner communications programs. Manage incoming media or external partner requests, tracking and redirecting, as well as serving as the Studio liaison for external partners such as Pilchuck Glass School, Chihuly Foundation beneficiaries, film festivals, the press and additional organizations. Partner with the Vice President of Sales and Marketing to create and maintain the Studio's annual communications calendar. Collaborate with Studio staff, leadership and vendors to create the best experience for both clients and exhibition partners. Skills Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education required. A minimum of 5+ years' experience in public relations and events management. Experience working in the art industry (galleries or museums) is highly preferred. Superb writing and editing skills. Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate in a clear and persuasive manner. Willingness to collaborate and execute day-to-day tasks, while also working independently. Willingness to share ideas at all staff levels across the Studio. Ability to prioritize, manage projects and follow through effectively. Ability to work weekends and travel on occasion. Familiarity with Seattle, contemporary art, museums, as well as global art trends preferred. The annual compensation range for this role is $72,000 - $85,000.
