Job Description

Position: LatAm Real Estate Bookkeeper
Type of contract: Independent Contractor
Working Hours: US business hours
Salary Range: $1.300 - $1.800 USD monthly

We are not real estate agents. We are a local family-owned real estate investing company. We have been in business since 2017 and have helped hundreds of homeowners along the way. Our investing strategies are diverse and are made up of infill developments, flips, commercial properties, notes, and rentals.

About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper with expertise in QuickBooks and a background in real estate or construction accounting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurate financial reporting, account categorization, and bookkeeping tasks to support our business operations.

 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Core Accounting & Bookkeeping


    ● Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records
    ● Process all payments, including vendor invoices and credit card transactions
    ● Create and send client invoices
    ● Prepare monthly financial statements, including Profit & Loss statements, balance sheets, and cashflow statements

  • Property-Level Financial Management

    ● Track and manage all financials for individual properties
    ● Prepare property-specific cash flow statements and P&Ls
    ● Monitor and report on budget vs. actual performance for each property
    ● Audit and verify contractor payments and expenses for each project
    ● Oversee financials for rental properties, ensuring accuracy and compliance

    Budgeting & Financial Analysis

    ● Submit monthly budget reports, financials, and performance summaries to the owner
    ● Analyze financial data to identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements

    Requirements:

    ● Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
    ● 3+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in real estate, property management, or construction
    ● Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
    ● Strong Excel skills, including experience with financial modeling and budget tracking
    ● Knowledge of financial statements, cash flow analysis, and GAAP principles
    ● Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
    ● Ability to manage multiple property-level financials simultaneously
    ● Experience auditing contractor/vendor payments and job cost tracking
    ● Strong organizational and time-management skills
    ● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    ● Ability to work independently and submit timely, accurate financial reports to leadership
