Job Description

As a Fixed Income Syndicate Trading Assistant at Barclays, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our trading and syndicate teams. You will be responsible for ensuring seamless processing, reporting, and issue resolution across various business areas. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with trading desks, operations, and technology teams to drive efficiency and maintain high operational standards. You will also engage in ongoing dialog with marketing professionals & business managers for continual upkeep of critical static investor data including but not limited to correct booking entities, investor input, contacts, marketing coverage, and selling restrictions.

To be successful as a Fixed Income Syndicate Trading Assistant, you should have experience with:

• Trade Support, Syndicate Operations or other Fixed Income Middle Office role

• Technical understanding of Fixed Income products and operational support functions

• Driving discussions with senior stakeholders across multiple divisions, including Fixed Income Marketing & Trading, Debt Capital Markets, Technology, Legal, Compliance, Finance & Operations

• Proficient in MS Office products, including Excel and PowerPoint

This role is located in New York, NY

Minimum Salary: $70,000

Maximum Salary: $140,000

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

Purpose of the role

To support business areas with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue resolution. 

Accountabilities

• Support various business areas with day-to-day initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution.
• Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate operational processes.
• Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations in operational processes.
• Development and implementation of operational procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
• Development of reports and presentations on operational performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
• Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in banking operations.
• Participation in projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
