Job Description

The Cedars is looking for a full-time Cook to join our team!

Current full-time shifts (rotating weekends): Day (5:00am - 1:00pm) and Afternoon (11:00am - 7:00pm) 

 

 Follows recipes and procedures as provided by management.

• Prepares all foods, which may include meat entrées, vegetarian entrées, vegan entrées, vegetables and starches.
• Meets serving time requirements.
• Responsible for pre-preparation related to upcoming food demands.
• Maintains food quality and appearance standards that meet customer and supervisor expectations.
• Maintains proper sanitation guidelines as set by sanitation training, policies, and procedures.
• Records and maintains production record book with accuracy.
• Checks and records temperatures on all hot and cold items.
• Ensures that all food is properly handled, wrapped, labeled, and dated.
• Checks with supervisor before discarding any food products.

 

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic food service knowledge. Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
